We recently stayed four nights in a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom + extra toilet apartment on the 4th floor.
Negatives:
The booking and check-in process left much to be desired, causing unnecessary stress.
Communication regarding payment issues was frustrating and unprofessional.
The apartment itself was a letdown – old, poorly furnished, and with an unpleasant odour.
Uncomfortable and outdated furniture made our stay less enjoyable.
The overall condition was disappointing, with poorly maintained walls and carpets.
Positives:
- Despite the negatives, the location, view, and cleaning service were decent.
- The swimming pool and sauna offered some respite.
It's important to note that our friends had a more pleasant experience in a different, better-furnished apartment on a lower level. Given our less-than-ideal stay, we strongly recommend exploring other accommodation options. It simply wasn't worth the price.
Been going to Centrepoint for years this time new staff stayed for 2 weeks German cockroaches in the ensuite in no 57 where I stayed got an email from the the staff saying I’d be fined $200 for smoking anywhere in the building When I booked I paid $1,000 deposit then I got an email saying I had to pay the balance before I arrived or I would lose my deposit When I arrived there my husband was just helping me get my luggage up to my apartment he was told if you don’t leave the 15 minute parking within 15 minutes they will call the police As a country person we were quite shocked with the behaviour I hope this isn’t going to be the standard behaviour going forward it’s certainly not the friendly place I always loved
My room was nice, but no chair in wheelchair friendly shower, though easy access. My sisters room was quite outdated. Quite pricey, was certain I paid more than the original quoted price over the phone; and needed to pay full amount 2 weeks in advance. Carpark very tight to get around. Very glary in the morning and at night.
Its an excellent place to stay. Views are spectacular, staff are friendly. The position of the hotel is perfect walking distance to everything. Great restaurants nearby.
The only other thing I would say...its great to have friends come to the hotel whether it be a swim or BBQ etc. In our last stay another family would come nearly every afternoon with little kids to meet with people who were obviously already staying there, parents would be drinking in the pool and its already a big apartment block, where they took over the pool area. Which maybe management could watch in the future
We enjoyed our stay,the apartment we stayed in was for sale and I think it could do with an update and definitely could do with new sofa's,not comfortable to sit on. We just love the view and spent most of the time on the balcony watching the ships pass by.
I found my unit very clean and I was very happy with the view. The pool area was amazing, private with a lovely bbq. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and more than helpful. 10/10. The complex is handy to beach, shops and restaurants. Our unit I feel was very much dated. The lounge needs to be replaced. The bathroom also needs a tidy up. The kitchen could have done with more dinner plates/glasses/serving bowls. I am guessing most units are owned privately. But I would be more than happy to stay there again because of the pool and the position of Centrepoint. Caloundra has always been a favourite holiday location and we have stayed in many places over the years.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Centrepoint Apartments. As soon as we arrived Sarah greeted us and made us feel welcome. Our apartment was clean and well equipped. The view was amazing, we could clearly see the Glass House Mountains. Centrepoint Apartments is in a perfect spot, so close to the beach and restaurants. The pool, Spa and sauna were excellent. We already have plans to come back at Easter.
Lovely apartments. Very clean and well-appointed. Close to shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach. The staff are wonderful - nothing is too much bother. This is the second time we have stayed at Centrepoint and it definitely won't be the last. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you so much.
